Crown Prince meets Head of Turkey’s National Intelligence Organisation

Manama, Dec. 10 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today met Dr Hakan Fidan, Head of the National Intelligence Organisation of the Republic of Turkey, on the sidelines of the 2016 Manama Dialogue. His Royal Highness highlighted the growing bilateral ties between Bahrain and Turkey, and stressed the importance of further expanding relations. His Royal Highness emphasised Turkey’s leading role in combatting terrorism and extremism, and its role in upholding security and stability. The Crown Prince and the Head of the National Intelligence Organisation then discussed various issues that are part of the Manama Dialogue agenda. Shaikh Khaled bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Shaikh Talal bin Mohamed Al Khalifa, Head of the National Security Agency, attended the meeting.
