Halal Food Entrepreneurs Must Tap Tokyo 2020 Olympics - State Exco

KUANTAN (Pahang, Malaysia) Dec 15 (Bernama) - Halal food products entrepreneurs in Pahang have been urged to tap the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games by exploring the halal market in Japan. State Exco for Cooperatives, Entrepreneurship and Consumer Affairs, Shahiruddin Ab Moin said this followed the visit of representatives of a large Japanese company here recently looking for halal food products. "Representatives of a chicken processing company for making sausages want to collaborate to get halal certificate to enable them to market their products to Muslims during the games and also for export to Middle East countries. "This collaboration is an excellent opportunity to introduce and market our halal food products to Japan," he told reporters at a press conference after the launch and presentation of ECER-SIRIM Certificate of Entrepreneur, here Thursday. A total of 56 entrepreneurs from Pahang received their certificates for participating and completing the programme. --BERNAMA
