MP Gharious: Cabinet formation hinging on politicians' will to cooperate

NNA - Member of Parliament, Naji Gharious, said on Friday that the announcement of a new Lebanese cabinet depended on the country's political adversaries' will to cooperate. Interviewed by the Voice of Lebanon radio station, the lawmaker explained that cabinet formation delay was because some sides were still looking for personal gains. "It is no longer acceptable to deem the Lebanese cabinet a share for benefits," he said, ruling out claims that the Lebanese presidency has vetoed some names off the new cabinet line-up suggestion. Touching on the lengthily awaited electoral law, Gharious rebuked further stalling and considered the 1960 electoral law of harm to all sides alike. "We look forward to cooperating with all the political sides, away from attempts to have one side control the other," he concluded. ==================R.H.
