Shaikh Khalid pays homage to fallen servicemen

Manama, Dec. 17 (BNA): Major HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Special Unit Commander of the Royal Guard, stressed that the Commemoration Day, which coincides with the National Day and December 17 every year, the Anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's Accession’s to the Throne, is a great memory that commemorates the bravery of the late servicemen who sacrificed their pure blood to defend their religion, the land, the people and countries in the this region. His Highness said: "This timeless memory a generous gesture from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa embodies the meaning of loyalty and gratitude from the wise leadership and the citizens of Bahrain in the memory of our brave fallen servicemen. They gave their lives while defending the soil of this land, in order to reinforce the structure of the modern Bahrain, founded by the late Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, May God Rest His Soul in eternal peace in 1197H, coinciding with 1783 AD." His Highness continued by saying: "Our righteous fallen servicemen have gloriously entered the records of our great history, which maintains the integrity of the Muslim Arab, reflecting on the development of this previous country, that is built on the pillars of Islamic Sharia, forgiveness, loyalty, patriotism and continuous giving to build precious Bahrain." His Highness further continued: "Today is a day for appreciation and pride in the sacrifices of our late servicemen, who upheld and defended the religion in order to preserve the dignity and freedom of our homeland and the citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). Their blood was shed in the finest image of sacrifice, which is a timeless memory that will remain for future generations to learn the meaning of sacrifice." HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa: "Bahrain's King, government and citizens will not forget your grand sacrifices, you will remain immortal in our hearts and minds. You gave away your lives to defend this country and Islam to achieve victory. Your sacrifices will remain as an example of our pride and gratitude in our history. The Arabian and Gulf history will remember your sacrifices that you made to defend us from terrorists and enemies of Islam, who wanted to cause panic and destabilizes the safety of the region. These sacrifices will remain as a memory, to teach our children and the next generations about loyalty, patriotism, defending the nations and standing up to injustice." His Highness expressed his pride and gratitude to the fallen servicemen who gave their lives in Yemen, stressing that he was honoured to serve beside them. His Highness added that they sacrificed their lives to achieve victory for Islam, praying to Almighty Allah to have mercy on them and accept them in paradise.
