Frangieh after meeting Tripoli mufti: North Lebanon fundamental for Lebanon unity

NNA - "Marada" Movement Head, MP Sleiman Frangieh, received on Tuesday Mufti of the North and Tripoli Malek al-Shaar, on top of a delegation, with talks reportedly touching on the overall situation in the North. The meeting took place in the presence of new Public Works and Transportation Minister, Youssef Fenianos and former MP Karim Rassi. Speaking on emerging, Mufti Shaar said that the visit comes to maintain communication between the sons of Tripoli, Zghorta and the North, and to underline these relations to render the North "one family." "The North is the heart of Lebanon and this heart is complete with such meetings which consecrate national unity," the Mufti said. Frangieh, for his part, categorically underlined that North Lebanon constitutes the fundamental pier of the unity of Lebanon, stressing that moderate personalities shall always remain united and open on each other regardless of circumstances as "the safety valve and guarantor for the future of the North and Lebanon." =======================
