Saudi hiker arrives in Bahrain

Manama, Dec. 21 (BNA): Nasser Al Qahtani a Saudi hiker has arrived in the Kingdom of Bahrain on the second leg of his Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) tour after initially visiting Kuwait. He toured Manama ancient souq to discover the business activities, heritage and items in the shops of blacksmiths, textiles and pearl traders. He began his trip ten days ago walking all the way from Al-Khafji governorate to Abraj al-Kuwait whence he moved to the Kingdom of Bahrain. He said his next destination after Bahrain will be in the State of Qatar, to be followed by similar visits to the rest of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries in order to leave a footprint for the upcoming generations affirming that "We are one united nation and share the same destination" He said his journey themed "Hold onto the bond of Allah and do not scatter" was sponsored by the Saudi Public Authority for Tourism and National Heritage. Al Qahtani hails from Aseer governorate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He had been conferred the "Operation Desert Storm" honour badge.
