National Day showjumping championship set

Manama, Dec. 21 (BNA): The National Day Showjumping tournament will be held at Military Sports Federation at the Rashid Club racecourse under the patronage of HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa President of Bahrain Royal Equestrian & Endurance Federation (BREEF) on Friday, December 23. On this occasion, HH Shaikh Faisal stressed the importance of showjumping competitions in the Kingdom of Bahrain in view of its role in boosting competitiveness of riders that reflects positively on the spectacular standard of jockeys and horses. HH Shaikh Faisal pointed out that the Federation is keen on the provision of all potentials and the necessary equipment to stage the championship and to successfully continue the hosting of such championships that contribute in uplifting the level and efficacy of riders to compete in the various types of competitions. HH Shaikh Faisal expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa the representative of HM the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee also Honorary President of BREEF for His Highness's constant support to showjumping sports, expressing optimism that the National Day Championship will be very strong, thrilling and highly competitive. HH Shaikh Faisal praised the positive results achieved by Bahrain knights in the previous showjumping championships which confirm seeking to develop the sport of showjumping in the kingdom, to assert their keenness on participation in championships and development of their technical standard and making championships very highly competitive and winning prime positions.
