National Guard's staff director receives preacher

Manama, Dec. 29 (BNA): National Guard's Director of Staff, Major-General Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Khalifa, has received Dr. Ayedh bin Abdullah Al Qarni. The Staff Director asserted the important role of scholars and preachers now more than at any other time past in spreading Islam's culture of forbearance and compassion under the umbrella of respect and upholding our religion and genuine values. Shaikh Abdulaziz praised Al Qarni's role in spreading awareness of the importance of exhibiting the core of Islam's message which is the message of compassion, love, tolerance that brings humanity together and does not divide. Following their meeting, the Saudi preacher visited the National Guard's mosque where he gave a lecture in which he stressed that Islam's message is a global message and the message of Islam is the finest, greatest and last of the divine messages which means the essentiality of openness onto the world community through flexible, decent and reconciliatory discourse. He called to comply with the teachings of the Holy Quran and the Prophetic Sunna and Islam's clear, flexible and fair message that preaches tolerance and reconciliation, and to portray Islam's true image and to rectify its distorted image. Towards the end of the visit, National Guard's Director presented Dr. Qarni with the National Guard's trophy. They also posed for a memorial snapshot on this occasion.
