Information minister calls for promoting tolerance, moderation

Manama, Dec. 29 (BNA): Information Affairs Minister, Ali bin Mohammed Al-Romaihi, has stressed keenness to highlight the true image of the Islamic Sharia in various media outlets through focusing on its lofty precepts which call for tolerance, moderation, peaceful co-existence and dialogue among civilisations, religions and cultures, as well as through renouncing ideologies that trigger division and extremism and incite hostility and terrorism. While receiving here today Islamic preacher and Secretary-General of the "Don't Be Sad" for Media and Publishing, Dr. Aaidh ibn Abdullah al-Qarni, the minister lauded the depth of the steadily-progressing relations between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia at all levels. Al-Romaihi valued highly the valuable contributions of Dr. al-Qarni to media, thought, culture and literature. He also commended his outstanding efforts to promote the religious values of moderation, tolerance and optimism.
