Speaker condemns terrorist armed attack

Manama, Jan. 1 (BNA): Council of Representatives Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla condemned the terrorist attack on the reformation and rehabilitation centre “Jau”. The heinous assault caused the death of policeman Abdulsalam Saif as he was facing the terrorists and enabled a number of terror convicts to escape. He expressed confidence in the competence of the security agencies to recapture the terrorists involved in the attack, as well as the runaway convicts, reiterating the readiness of the Parliament to provide all legislative means to support the security agencies in their dedicated efforts to maintain national stability and protect lives and properties. The Speaker extended heartfelt condolences to the policeman’s bereaved family, praying to Allah Almighty to rest the deceased’s soul in eternal peace and give his family solace and fortitude. AHN
