Arab parliament reaffirms solidarity with Bahrain

Cairo, Jan. 3 (BNA): Arab Parliament Speaker Dr. Mishal bin Fahem Al-Salmi has reiterated the Arab nation's unwavering standing in solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain in its efforts in the fight against terrorism. Al-Salmi said that the cowardly attack on the Interior Ministry's reform and rehabilitation centre leading to the escape of several convicted terrorists and causing the death of a security officer would not discourage the Bahraini people and their brave security forces in the fight against terrorism. The whole world today knows that the Iranian regime was behind such attacks aimed to undermine the security and stability of Kingdom and the Arab region, he said, urging the international community to confront the hostile policies of Iran's hateful sectarian regime. He also called on all countries and organisations worldwide to condemn this act of terrorism which violates all humanitarian and ethical values and contradicts all international conventions and national constitutions. The Arab Parliament Speaker affirmed his trust in the Bahraini security and judicial authorities and their capability to arrest the perpetrators of this terrorist attack, praising the efforts of Bahrain's security and law enforcement agencies in maintaining the public security and safeguarding the Kingdom's sovereignty to continue the nation's democratic, parliamentary and renaissance process in the interest of the Bahraini people under their wise leadership and government.
