GCC chief receives GCC official

Riyadh, Jan. 3 (BNA): Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani received here today the newly-appointed Assistant Secretary-General Economic and Development Affairs, Khalifa bin Said Al-Abri. Dr. Al-Zayani congratulated Al-Abri on his appointment to his post, wishing him every success. He also commended the tremendous efforts exerted by his predecessor, Abdulla Al-Shibli. They discussed a number of issues pertaining the economic and development affairs at the GCC Secretariat-General. Khalifa Al-Abri expressed pride in being appointed to his new post, pledging to spare no effort to assume the duties assigned to him to achieve the goals of joint GCC action.
