HM King receives Kuwaiti ambassador to Italy

Manama, Jan. 18 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at Safriya Palace today Kuwaiti Ambassador to Italy Shaikh Ali Khalid Al Jaber Al Sabah on the occasion of his visit to Bahrain as well as a number of officials and participants in "This is Bahrain" function. HM the King welcomed them, underlining historic fraternal relations between Bahrain and Kuwait and their growth in various fields. He lauded the role of the Kuwaiti ambassador in ensuring success of "This is Bahrain" which was held in Italy recently. He also hailed the successful outcome of the function in highlighting Bahrain's achievements and its civilisational and humanitarian standing as well as projecting the kingdom's bright and civilised image as the land of tolerance, co-existence and inter-cultural dialogue worldwide. HM the King underscored the importance of holding such functions to boost the presence of Bahrain and the GCC countries on the world scene and lay bridges of cultural and civilisational communication with friendly countries. He also underlined the importance of such function in broadening the scope of cooperation with friendly countries and promoting the culture of dialogue, co-existence and tolerance. HM the King lauded the efforts of the organisers of "This is Bahrain", wishing them constant success. The Kuwaiti ambassador expressed thanks and appreciation to HM the King, commending his role in bolstering the Bahraini-Kuwaiti relations and hailing "This is Bahrain" function, which was held in the Italian capital Rome, in highlighting Bahrain's efforts in promoting communication and the GCC presence in the world.
