The number of Kazakhstan’s enterprises, entering the world markets, is growing. They are operating in different sectors. The industrial enterprise in Pavlodar for production of calcined petroleum coke was launched a year ago. Its capacity is 205,000 tons of coke per year. Consumers of the Pavlodar plant are large aluminum manufacturers in China and Russia. According to experts, the domestic enterprise’s entering full capacity will have a positive effect on Kazakhstan’s entire economy.

MEIRAM PSHEMBAYEV, MEMBER OF MAZHILIS, LOWER HOUSE OF KAZAKH PARLIAMENT:

Innovative new technologies that increase the production of coke and steam, which is formed during the process, are used at the plant. This is a power workshop, where the steam is not utilized, it is only used. Electricity is produced from the steam. 12 megawatts of electricity is produced from the recycled steam, and then it is transmitted to the total energy system.

A new plant in Almaty region has been recently opened and now receives orders from foreign partners. It will soon produce up to 10 million glass bottles per year. The secret of success lies in a finely calculated approach and aspiration to find its niche in the market. This is due to the fact, that there is no similar plant in the CIS that produce such containers for juice, water and canned food.

AZIM ABDULLAEV, PLANT DIRECTOR:

At the moment, all the CIS countries and European states purchase such bottles from China. But our plant will produce them too. We have customers from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Moldova, Ukraine, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Dagestan, Russia. In general, we have many partners who want to cooperate with us, because we have an acceptable price.

In addition, a new venture on production of industrial greenhouse complexes started operating in the region. Before that local farmers acquired similar structures from abroad. The plant was built entirely at the expense of private investments. Entrepreneurs invested 2 billion tenge. Installation and equipment of produced greenhouses are also made for own funds. Despite the production line was launched recently, the plant already has orders.

BAURZHAN BAIMUKHANBETOV, PLANT DIRECTOR:

Based on market research, we calculated that currently there is a great demand for industrial greenhouses. So it was decided to build a factory and buy a technology from the Dutch company.

Kazakhstan’s first wool processing plant also increases its presence on the foreign markets. Atyrau plant has already signed contracts with customers from Italy, Scotland, Russia and Belarus. Moreover, the first batches of product have been already sent abroad. In addition, the company’s employees are producing finished products - blankets and scarves for Expo 2017 participants.
