BNA organises training session

Manama, Jan. 21 (BNA): Bahrain News Agency (BNA) has launched its first training session for this year as part of a programme organised by BNA centre to develop media skills. The session was held at BNA Training Centre under the theme “Media Campaigns”. Media Researcher and Head of the General Directorate of Traffic’s Media Department Abdulrahman Bu Hijji lectured in it. BNA Acting Director General Muhannad Suleiman Al Nuaimi stressed BNA’s keenness to boost the media skills by organising specialised programmes in cooperation with various press institutions and Arab and international news agencies. He expressed appreciation of all the participants from the public sector, stressing that the aim of the session was to develop journalistic skills of local media institutions. He added that organising such sessions contribute to developing capabilities and exchanging information concerning media work. The session is part of a training programme for 2017 which consists of carrying out a series of training sessions in cooperation with Arab and international news agencies and other relevant parties. On his part, Bu Hijji claimed that the sessions was centred around how to plan and organise media campaigns, adding that the difference between media campaigns and advertising ones was also highlighted. He pointed out that the sessions was directed at Heads of public relations at government institutions, thanking BNA Acting Director General Muhannad Suleiman Al Nuaimi for the good preparation and organisation. He also thanked the participants for their keenness to take advantage of the session’s two-day programmes and lectures, wishing them every success.
