Terror group investigated

Manama, Feb. 1 (BNA): Chief Prosecutor at the Terror Crime Prosecution, Isa Al Ruwaie, said the Terror Crime Prosecution began investigation in the case of the formation of a terrorist group which targeted security men and vehicles, attacked public and private properties in various areas in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Weapons, explosive devices were found and seized from their possession. The Public Prosecution was informed by the National Security Agency that as part of the latter's investigation and search to identify all terrorist elements implicated in targeting the security forces and private and public properties in various parts of Bahrain, a number of suspects were arrested on January 26. The investigations led to seven suspects who partook in the terror group and arrested three of suspects as search continues to arrest the remaining members of the group. The first suspect confessed having joined the terrorist group and sheltering wanted fugitives. The second suspects also confessed having joined the said terrorist group and provided them with help and assistance to carry out the first aid to those injured during confrontations with the security forces. At the request of the Public Prosecution, investigations were conducted by police about the whereabouts of the culprits. The search and investigation efforts led to pinpointing the culprits who committed the crime. Investigations indicated the suspects had established and joined a terror group which targeted security men and vehicles and attacked public and private properties in various parts of the Kingdom of Bahrain. They also recruited other members to join their terrorist group and to assist them in their terrorist crimes while fully aware of the purposes and activities of their terrorist group. The Public Prosecution questioned the suspects and provided them with all the sureties under the law and charged them with the establishing and joining of a terrorist group, possession, handling and using weapons and explosive devices, and ordered the precautionary remanding of the suspects for more investigation. Investigations are still continuing.
