King attends Al-Janadriyah Festival opening

Riyadh, Feb. 1(BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa attended, along with Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the opening ceremony of the 31st edition of the National Heritage and Culture Festival " Al-Janadriyah Festival". The event is organised annually by the Saudi National Guard Ministry under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques at Al-Janadriyah region. The opening ceremony was also attended by the Amir of Kuwait His Highness Shaikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and other guests from the GCC member states, princes, senior officials and invitees. The Saudi anthem was played before National Guard Minister, Head of the Festival High Committee His Royal Highness Prince Mita'ab bin Abdulla bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud delivered a speech, welcoming the guests. An Egyptian representative also addressed the ceremony on behalf of President of Egypt, as his country is the guest of honour of the 2017 edition. The Saudi monarch then honoured a number of Saudi personalities and sponsors. The winners of the camel race were also presented with prizes.
