Cooperation ties with Japan discussed

Manama, Feb. 2 (BNA): Oil Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa has received Ambassador of Japan to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Kiyoshi Asako. The minister reviewed with the ambassador the bilateral trade, economic cooperation ties and means of boosting these ties especially in the field of oil and gas as the National Authority for Oil and Gas (NOGA) attaches special importance to its cooperation with Japan since the first Bahraini crude oil shipment was carried by 'El Segundo' tanker which left Bahrain for Yokohama, Japan in 1934. The ambassador reaffirmed the deep-rooted historic bilateral ties, wishing Bahrain and NOGA more progress and prosperity.
