GCC Alwane Majlis for Entrepreneurship launched

Manama, Feb. 3 (BNA): Active Leaders for women advancement in the near east (Alwane Bahrain) announced the launch of "GCC Alwane Majlis for Entrepreneurship", that currently consist of the Alwane from Kingdom of Bahrain and Kuwait. More countries from GCC will soon join the initiative during the year. The "GCC Alwane Majlis for Entrepreneurship" aims at encouraging the innovation and entrepreneurship specially at this time where economic challenges are rising, and governments efforts are encouraging the diversification of income sources. In addition, it aims at supporting the small and medium establishments to passivity contribute to the national economy. Alwane Bahrain team, during the business trip to Kuwait that was held last week, have met members of Alwane Kuwait where they discussed and drafted the mechanism, procedures and benefits of being part of the Majlis. Further, the team drafted a program that included number of activities and events that will be conducted at the level of GCC. President of Alwane Bahrain, Mr. Ammar Awachi said that "GCC Alwane Majlis for Entrepreneurship" comes as part of Alwane Bahrain efforts in creating network between entrepreneurs in the GCC. That network is encouraged due to the fact that GCC share similar market dynamics and economic environment pertaining to female entrepreneurs, thus, that provides related opportunities and challenges. Further, the Majlis is an execution of some recommendations that came out of Alwane Forth Regional Summit that took place in the Kingdom of Bahrain lately. Mr. Awachi added, the "GCC Alwane Majlis for Entrepreneurship" aims in principles to discover the opportunities available to entrepreneurs in the GCC, in addition to encouraging the innovation and entrepreneurship spirit in an interactive environment that guarantees the exchange of information and success stories sharing that can allow an ease in a network process in GCC Alwane members. That will also contribute in helping the governments to draw policies that support enterpreneurs and SMEs. In that connection, Mr. Awachi stressed on the significance of the efforts provided by Alwane Kuwait team under the leadership of Alwane Kuwait President Eman Khalaf especially in encouraging Kuwaiti female entrepreneurs to start their own business.
