Promoting Bahraini-Pakistani relations, cooperation highlighted

Islamabad, Feb. 5 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, met today with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan’s Prime Minister’s Adviser on Foreign Affairs, Sartaj Aziz, during the Minister’s official visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The Minister expressed appreciation of the growing and prosperous ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. He reiterated the importance of joint coordination between the two countries to achieve shared objectives and consolidate peace and stability in the region, as well as promoting cooperation among its countries. He commended Pakistan's supportive stances towards Arab and Islamic causes. He stressed keenness on establishing more avenues of cooperation to fulfil the ambitions of the two countries in the manner of befitting the significance of the bilateral relations between the two sides. Sartaj Aziz affirmed his country’s commitment towards consolidating and further developing the bilateral relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain and wished the Kingdom continued progress and prosperity. The first meeting of the Bahrain-Pakistan Joint Ministerial Commission will be held tomorrow (Monday) and will discuss a number of bilateral issues and mechanisms of further developing the ties between the two countries.
