BACA to celebrate National Action Charter

Manama, Feb. 12 (BNA): The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) will hold its annual celebration of the National Action Charter under the theme "The Fundamentals of the Charter". Held at the Cultural Hall on February 14 at 08:00 pm, the celebration will feature genuine Bahraini songs by the Mohammed bin Fares Music Band. This band consists of the finest artists among members of the folk groups in the Kingdom, who has been distinguished performers. The band took part in the Second Festival of Arabic Music held in Paris on May 14, 2001. The band performs various types of traditional arts such as Saut, Basteh, Khamari and other folk songs. However, the art of Urban Vocal art (Sout) has a prominent place among its activities. The band endeavors to give opportunity to many of its members to exhibit their talents as well as cooperating with non-member artists. It is worth noting that many of the members are solo vocalists, the band also consists of violinists, oud players, dulcimer players, in addition, to percussionists. BACA will also open all its museums and various sites to the public for free on Tuesday, within its celebrations of 2017 under the slogan "If Our Monuments Could Speak", as well as in line with its role in sharing all national occasions with the Bahraini society.
