Arab Parliament backs Bahrain

Cairo, Feb.14 (BNA): The Arab Parliament (AP) voiced unwavering support to the Kingdom of Bahrain, backing all measures to maintain its security and stability and protect its territories. The pan-Arab panel commended the success of Bahrain’s security forces in thwarting the attempt to smuggle a number of terror-related fugitives who escaped from the reformation and rehabilitation centre. AP Speaker Dr. Meshal bin Fahm Al Sulami called on the Iranian regime to stop its provocative and irresponsible statements and put an end to its hostile acts towards the Kingdom of Bahrain. Addressing the opening of the AP session in Cairo, Egypt, he urged the Iranian regime to stop supporting terrorist gangs and fuelling sectarian strife in a bid to subvert Bahrain’s national unity. The AP Speaker urged Tehran to put an end to sectarian-tainted policies and stop forming and supporting groups and militias which fuel conflicts in the Arab countries. He urged Iran to end its colonization of the three Emirati islands and stop provocative and hostile policies which undermine confidence building and jeopardize regional security and stability.
