HRH Crown Prince meets UK MP Conor Burns; reaffirms commitment to bilateral cooperation

Manama, Feb. 19 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today met with United Kingdom Member of Parliament and Chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Bahrain, Conor Burns MP, at Riffa Palace. During the meeting, His Royal Highness emphasised the joint commitment to strengthening the deep-rooted historic ties between the two countries, which are underpinned by a range of partnerships across the economy, trade and security. The Crown Prince stressed the importance of exchange visits between the two countries, which serve to reinforce bilateral cooperation across all sectors. In the regard, His Royal Highness expressed his gratitude to the UK for the support it extends to GCC-UK relations, highlighting the importance of the UK’s role in maintaining regional security. The meeting presented an opportunity to review additional ways to advance bilateral cooperation, and to discuss shared approaches to various regional and international developments.
