Alba welcomes German ambassador

Manama, Feb. 19 (BNA): Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), the Bahrain-based international aluminium smelter, in line with its endeavour to further strengthen commercial ties with industries in Germany, welcomed the German Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain HE Mr. Alfred Simms-Protz and Deputy Head of Mission Mr. Wolfgang Haagen on Wednesday 15, February 2017. Alba's Chief Executive Officer Tim Murray and Director of Administration Waleed Tamimi welcomed HE Mr. Alfred Simms-Protz and Mr. Wolfgang Haagen and expressed thanks for their visit as well as for their interest to know more about Alba and its operations. Speaking on this occasion, Murray said: 'We were pleased to welcome HE Mr. Alfred Simms-Protz and Mr. Wolfgang Haagen and exhibit Alba's achievements and progress in terms of Safety, Health and Environment. We look forward towards strengthening bilateral relations between Bahrain and Germany in all areas, and particularly, seek potential areas for collaboration between Alba and leading German technology as well as engineering companies.' H.E. Mr. Alfred Simms-Protz was given a tour around the plant and familiarised with Alba's operations and main production facilities as well as the progress on Line 6 Expansion Project.
