Crown Prince welcomes Bahrain-Kuwait Parliamentary Cooperation

Manama, Feb. 20 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today received Kuwait’s National Assembly Speaker, His Excellency Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim, and an accompanying parliamentary delegation, at Gudaibiya Palace. During the meeting, His Royal Highness welcomed the deep and historic ties that exist between Bahrain and Kuwait, and welcomed the continued efforts to further strengthen the benefits of the relationship. His Royal Highness also highlighted the commitment of His Majesty King Hamad and His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to expanding Bahraini-Kuwaiti ties, which reflect the long-standings relation between the two countries. Speaking about broader cooperation efforts, His Royal Highness noted that both countries recognise the importance of aligning their efforts to achieve far-reaching GCC strategic goals and interests. His Royal Highness welcomed the visit of the delegation to the Kingdom, stressing that the visit plays an important role in strengthening parliamentary cooperation. His Royal Highness stressed that increased intra-regional collaboration on parliamentary affairs directly supports the role of the legislature in advancing national development. His Royal Highness concluded by emphasising Kuwait’s continued support to the Kingdom, which he said represents existing bonds between the two nations. His Royal Highness went on to extend his wishes for continued development and prosperity on the occasion of Kuwait’s upcoming national day and liberation day. For his part, Kuwait’s Speaker of the National Assembly highlighted His Royal Highness’s commitment to continuing to advance Bahraini-Kuwaiti ties, and expressed his pleasure in visiting the Kingdom and meeting its legislative members.
