Phongsaly expans health network to grassroots

(KPL) Phongsaly province has said its expansion of hospitals and dispensaries across the province is significant, according to a health official of the province.
Dr. Paoly Sichoumvong, Deputy Head of Phongsaly Provincial Health Service, said at a meeting held last week to assess health works in the province in the last one year that the province had 23 dispensaries, 445 drug kits and six district hospitals.
Gravity-fed water systems have been built in 37 villages to ensure the clean water consumption of people in the province.
Over 31,200 families in the province have latrines and the number of families using chemically treated mosquito nets is 14,800, while 95 per cent of children aged under five has been given with vitamin A, parasite tablets and polio vaccines.
