Princess Sabeeka to patronise award-distribution ceremony

Manama, Mar. 1 (BNA): Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), will patronise the distribution ceremony of the HRH Princess Sabeeka's Award for Productive Families at the local and Arab levels. The ceremony, organised by the Labour and Social Development Ministry, will be held tomorrow at the Sharifa Al-Awadhi Children and Youth Club in Riffa. Labour and Social Development Minister, Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, said that HRH Princess Sabeeka's patronage and personal presence affirms her interest in supporting productive families and encouraging them to be creative in the fields of home production and entrepreneurship. Princess Sabeeka's support aims to empower productive families and enable them to play their role in contributing to the national economy, he said. The minister added that an exhibition showcasing productive families' items will also be held on the sidelines of the award-distribution ceremony. The expo aims to motivate low-income families to enter into small enterprises, encourage talent, as well as hone and embrace skills, and provide an opportunity for families to find new sources of income to improve their economic conditions, he said. The exhibition will be open to the public on Thursday from 16:00 to 21:00, and from 09:00 to 21:00 on Friday and Saturday. HRH Princess Sabeeka's Award for Productive Families includes six prizes, including three granted for Bahraini productive families and three granted to GCC and Arab families. They comprise the Best Productive Family Award, the Best Product Award and the Best Sponsor of Productive Families Award.
