Minister receives UNDP representative's credentials

Manama, Mar. 8 (BNA): Foreign Affairs Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa today received the UN Resident Coordinator/UNDP Representative to Bahrain, Amin El Sharqawi. During the meeting, the Minister welcomed the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), hailing UNDP key role in supporting the efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the field of sustainable development. He also noted keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain on underpinning cooperation with the United Nations in all domains, wishing the UNDP Representative every success in his new duties. El Sharqawi praised Bahrain’s support to and cooperation with the UNDP and valued its enthusiasm in implementing international standards and meeting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He also commended the efforts being exerted by the Kingdom of Bahrain to support the international community in its endeavors to attain development and peace, wishing the Kingdom further progress and prosperity.
