Spring of Culture showcases Indian martial arts
Manama, Mar. 8 (BNA): Spring of Culture’s Street Theatre will showcase India’s finest and oldest martial arts technique, "Pole Mallakhamb". The performance will run for three days, beginning on Thursday 9th March.
This high energy, acrobatic performance will kick-off on Thursday at 7:30pm, at Block 338 in Adliya. The Pole Mallakhamb show will also be hosted at the Prince Khalifa bin Salman Park in Hidd on Friday at 5pm. The performance will continue throughout the weekend, with two more shows on Saturday at 5pm, at the Nakheel Center in Saar, followed by the last show at Amwaj Lagoon, at 7:30pm.
The Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB) has organized the Pole Mallakhamb performances as part of its support for the Spring of Culture 2017. The annual festival significantly contributes to Bahrain’s tourism sector, which is one of the EDB’s priority sectors.
The Gold Sponsors of this year’s festival are the National Bank of Bahrain, Huawei and GFH Financial Group, while Silver Sponsors include Bahrain Airport Company, Aluminium Bahrain (ALBA), Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait, DHL and Bahrain Duty Free. Additional support has been provided by the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF), Investate, the National Oil and Gas Authority, Bahrain Maritime & Mercantile International (BMMI) and the embassies of Italy, Japan, USA and Mexico in Bahrain.
