King deputises National Guard Commander to attend horseracing festival

Manama, Mar. 17 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa deputised National Guard Commander Lieutenant General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa to attend HM the King’s Horse Racing Festival and the World Women’s Championship on the Cup of Shaikha Fatima bint Mubarak for Arabian Horses which was organised today by the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club on the club’s racing track in Al-Raffa, Sakhir. The race was attended by High Authority Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club Shaikh Abdullah bin Isa Al Khalifa, Deputy Chairman Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, President of Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid bin Isa Al Khalifa, dignitaries, senior officials, members of the Diplomatic Corps accredited to Bahrain and horseracing fans. The National Guard Commander crowned the winners of the race. He presented the High Authority’s Cup for Outstanding Horse Riders to Nader Al-Jasmi, HM the King’s Cup for Arabian Horses to trainer Abdullah Al-Kuwaiti, the Charter’s Cup to Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Cup for Locally-bred Horses to Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Isa Al Khalifa and HM the King’s Cup for Imported Horses to owner Fawzi Nass. Meanwhile, the President of BREEF presented Shaikha Fatima bint Mubarak Cup for Women to trainer Abdullah Al-Kuwaiti and the winning Italian horse rider Elaria Sajumo.
