Under the Patronage of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Bahrain Award for Entrepreneurship reveals names of Jury Committee members

Manama, Mar. 17 (BNA): With the fast approaching countdown to the Awards Ceremony for the third edition of the Bahrain Award for Entrepreneurship, held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, First Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Economic Development Board, the organizing committee reveals names of the International Jury Members that will conduct the assessments for qualifying enterprises in the final stage of this prestigious award. On this occasion, Chief Executive of Tamkeen, Dr. Ebrahim Janahi said, "We are happy with the quality of participation that was received by the organizing committee since announcement of the registration date, received by entrepreneurs in the Award’s many categories, which undoubtedly reaffirms the evolution and development of the entrepreneurship sector and private sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain." He added, "Entrepreneurship and venture innovations are seen as key sectors that the esteemed government focuses on as part of the operational work plan for the Economic Vision for 2030. It includes the development of the internal infrastructure and regulatory framework, in addition to providing an incubating environment for entrepreneurs, so that the success of this Award comes as part of the overall strategy of the Kingdom in support of the advancement of this promising sector." He further reiterated, "We have been keen in this year’s edition of the Award to include a panel of Juries that consist of prominent entrepreneurs with outstanding achievements on the local, regional, and international levels." The Jury committee members include Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, CEO of Injaaz Bahrain,Mr. Ahmed Al-Mutawa, CEO of Mubaader for small and medium enterprises, Mr. AkramMiknas Chairman and CEO of Promo Seven, Mr. BaybarsTuntas Chairman of the World Business Angels Investment Forum, Mr. Habib Haddad, President and General Manager of the E14 Media Lab Fund at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mr. Jawad Habib, Chairman of BDO Jawad Habib, Mr. Mohammed Bucheery Advisor to the CE of Tamkeen, and Ms. Nina G. Vaca, Founding CEO and Chairman of the Pinnacle Group. Project Manager of the Bahrain Award for Entrepreneurship, Mr. Faisal Sultan added, "During this phase, Finalists will be subject to a detailed assessment before the International Jury based on the corresponding criteria for five of the seven Award categories, which comprise of diverse enterprises that range in size and type. The winners will be announced in their respective categories during the Award Ceremony that will take place in the month of April. The Bahrain Award for Entrepreneurship includes seven awards categories: Micro-Enterprise of the Year, Start-up of the Year, SME of the Year, Enterprise of the Year with International Footprint, Sustainability in Business Award, Female Entrepreneur of the Year, and Lifetime Achievement Award.
