HM the King receives new RCO strategy

Manama, Mar. 26 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Honorary President of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO), has praised the tremendous efforts exerted to ensure the success of RCO's work at the local and international levels, hailing RCO's new five-year strategy.
HM King Hamad also commended the efforts exerted by HM the King's Personal Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, and RCO's Board of Trustees Chairman, Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in leading RCO's charitable and humanitarian work in Bahrain and abroad.
HM the King asserted that doing good is the duty of every person according to their potentials and capabilities, and it is required by the Islamic Religion and the genuine Arab traditions and morals, highlighting the need to deliver assistance and aid to persons who need it, and not only brothers.
HM King Hamad praised RCO's creative ways in delivering aid, noting that it has attained innumerable achievements at the local and international levels, and it is a source of pride for everyone thanks to its distinguished ability to deliver assistance to needy in Bahrain and other brotherly and friendly countries.
HM the King emphasised the importance of carrying on work with dedication and creativity to provide services to orphans, widows and needy people in Bahrain, contribute to achieving development through programmes, projects and activities and deliver relief aid to brotherly and friendly countries and peoples according to international standards in a bid to alleviate their sufferings in response to emergency calls emanating from refugees' host countries.
HM the King made the statements as he received RCO's new strategy form Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad.
Shaikh Nasser delivered a speech in which he extended sincere thanks and appreciation to HM the King for support and constant directives to RCO to help the needy in Bahrain and deliver relief aid to afflicted people in brotherly and friendly countries.
He said that RCO's new five-year strategy was prepared in accordance with the royal visions, and aims to build on the accumulated success, achievements and expertise acquired over the past years.
"Through this strategy, we seek to set up an investment and financial structure that ensures the continuity of this great charitable entity which was established by Your Majesty, away from economic effects, in order to be an on-going charity for Your King," he said.
Shaikh Nasser also affirmed that RCO's success and distinction in serving all needy people in Bahrain and delivering relied aid to stricken people in brotherly and friendly countries are the outcome of HM the King's support, sound directives and wise vision.
He added that RCO, inspired by HM the King's approach and directives, will continue its efforts to support the needy and bring about more achievements and successes.
He affirmed that the humanitarian file has been given top priority by HM the King since the launch of the Royal Reform Project.
Shaikh Nasser also voiced pride in the support enjoyed by RCO from the government, led by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, as well as in the backing of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.
He wished HM King Hamad abundant good health and happiness, and the kingdom further progress and prosperity, under HM the King's leadership.
RCO's Secretary-General Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed Al-Ameen said RCO's strategy emanates from the Reform Project spearheaded by HM the King, noting that the strategy was developed in cooperation with experts and specialists.
Through the implementation of the new strategy, RCO aims to be a leader in charitable and humanitarian work, in line with the directives of the leadership and Shaikh Nasser.
He affirmed that RCO is one of the fruits of the Royal Reform Project launched by HM the King, adding that Shaikh Nasser's leadership has ensured RCO's success.
Dr. Al-Sayed extended sincere thanks and appreciation to the government, led by HRH Premier, and to HRH the Crown Prince for their constant support.
He also thanked RCO's Board of Trustees and affiliates for the tremendous efforts they had exerted while preparing the strategy.
He also lauded the consultative and technical support provided by the Kuwait-based Arab Planning Institute to RCO while devising its new five-year strategy.
