HM King's official visit to Egypt hailed

Manama, Mar. 27 (BNA): The official visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to Egypt constitutes a strong push to the exemplary close fraternal ties that reflect keenness on the Arab region's security and stability as well as economic and community development, Information Affairs Minister and Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) Board of Trustees' Chairman, Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi has affirmed.
The is sixth official visit by His Majesty the King to Egypt since President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has assumed the presidency. HM the King's visit to Cairo precedes the forthcoming 24th Arab Summit in Amman, in view of the unwavering Egyptian solidarity stances with the Kingdom of Bahrain to confront external interferences, acts of terrorism and violent extremism, he said.
The minister commended Egypt and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their role as the impenetrable shield of the Arab and Islamic nation and the source of its fortitude and dignity.
The Bahraini-Egyptian Summit's convening at this point in time underscores the security and economic challenges and external threat experienced by the Arab nation and reflects the leadership's awareness of the importance of boosting the joint Arab work as part of the larger Arab house and unification of Arab visions and stances to combat terrorist organizations, and to muster the efforts and resources and to direct material and human resources to support economic development programmes to achieve the Arab nation's progress, stability, security and revival in all fields.
Regarding the outcomes of the royal visit in bolstering the bilateral ties, the minister expressed his optimism that the Bahraini-Egyptian Summit will come up with positive results that will contribute to further bolstering the political and security partnership, the role of both countries in boosting regional and international peace and security and the activation of the role of the media, cultural and religious institutions in disseminating the values of moderation, tolerance, and combating extremism and terrorism.
The minister reiterated both countries' keenness on the activation of the agreements and memoranda of understanding signed on the sidle-lines of His Majesty the King's visit to Egypt in April 2016.
