GCC solidarity with Bahrain reiterated

Manama, Mar. 27 (BNA): Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)'s Secretary-general Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani has lauded the efforts of Bahrain's Interior Ministry in maintaining kingdom's security and stability and combating terrorist groups. The GCC secretary-general commended the security agencies' efficient performance and considerable achievements of unravelling and dismantling terrorist cells and safeguarding the community from the evils of criminal terror plots. The GCC chief hailed the Interior Ministry's foiling the conspiracy of a network of terrorists who conspired, plotted, trained and carried out terrorist attacks in the Kingdom, stored large caches of weapons, ammunition and explosives and targeted the lives of security personnel, and civilians. He expressed full confidence that foreign-backed terrorist groups will meet with abject failure and utter defeat in their criminal plots aimed to undermine the Kingdom's security and stability. Dr. Al Zayani reiterated the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)-member States' unflinching solidarity and supporting the Kingdom of Bahrain in all the measures it takes to combat terrorist organisations and arrest all terrorist elements to ensure the Kingdom's security and stability and the safety of its citizens and residents.
