Khalid bin Hamad to attend BRAVE 4 events

Manama, Mar. 27(BNA): His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth, Honorary President of the Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation, Founder of Khalid Bin Hamad Mixed Martial Arts (KHK MMA), arrived on Monday to Abu Dhabi, capital of the UAE, to attend the fourth edition of the BRAVE Championship, organised by the BRAVE Combat Federation of Khalid bin Hamad Mixed Martial Arts Organisation, in cooperation with the UAE Jiu Jitsu Federation, which will be held at the IPIC Arena in Zayed Sports City on Friday,31st March. On this occasion, Shaikh bin Khalid Hamad Al Khalifa stated, "We are pleased to express our pride to be in our second country, the sister nation of the UAE, whose capital of Abu Dhabi is holding the Brave Fighting Championship in its fourth edition. We emphasize the strong relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and its sister country, the United Arab Emirates, and their bonds of love, brotherhood and close ties between the leadership of the two countries and its peoples." His Highness added, "The two countries are bound by the shared ties of geographical and strategic proximity that characterise the organisation of the GCC countries, consolidating and reinforcing unity of ranks, affirming their common destiny, and opening of wider horizons of cooperation and coordination at all levels. This implements the visions and directives of the leadership of the two countries, to push forward movement of their relations, achieving common interests which will contribute to the advancement of progress and prosperity in all sectors, especially the sector of youth and sports. His Highness Shaikh Khalid Bin Hamad Al Khalifa expressed his great pleasure in Abu Dhabi’s hosting of the tournament, which will be a real incentive to support the success of this event which was launched as a purely Bahraini idea from the capital Manama, and to travel around the world to promote the Kingdom of Bahrain's ability to launch initiatives and sporting events which aim to support various sports, especially MMA at the global level. This will strengthen the position of Bahrain on the international sports map. His Highness stressed great confidence that this edition will achieve more successes which will highlight this event, and commended the distinguished efforts of the president and members of the BRAVE Combat Federation to organise the championship, anticipating that the competitions will witness a strong presence of the participating fighters in this edition.
