Foreign Minister participates in Arab League meeting

Amman, Mar. 27 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa took part today in the Arab League ministerial preparatory meeting for the 28th Arab Summit slated to be held in Jordan. The foreign ministers discussed issues on the summit's agenda, including the Palestinian cause, the Syrian crisis, the situation in Yemen and Libya, the Iranian interference in the internal affairs of Arab countries, combating terrorism and draft decisions to be issued at the Arab Summit. The United Nations Special Envoy to Syria Staffan de Mistura spotlighted the latest developments in Syria and the ongoing negotiations between various parties. The Arab Summit will be held on March 29 at the Dead Sea area of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
