Food, medicine reserves get more funding

Hanoi (VNA) - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has decided to allocate almost 946
billion VND (54 million USD) from the state budget to buy food and veterinary
medicines for the national reserves.

Under his decisions signed on Feb. 2, the government leader entrusted the Finance
Ministry to spend 880 billion VND (50 million USD) purchasing 100,000 tonnes of
rice.

The remaining 65.9 billion VND will be given to the Ministry of Agriculture and
Rural Development to pay for vaccines and disinfectants.-Enditem
