Bahraini, Thai health cooperation discussed

Manama, Mar. 29(BNA): Supreme Council for Health (SCH) President Lieutenant-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa received Thai Ambassador to Bahrain Chayapan Bamrungphong and discussed joint cooperation. The meeting was also attended by SCH Secretary-General Ibrahim Ali Al-Nawakhda and Head of the National Committee for Overseas Treatment Dr. Shaikh Fahd bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa. Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa stressed Bahrain’s keenness on strengthening health cooperation to meet patients’ medical and therapeutic needs. He outlined the SCH-led role in elaborating and following-up the National Health planning, highlighting particularly the National Health Insurance Scheme. He discussed the Thai envoy prospects of joint cooperation, focusing particularly on the Visiting Doctor Programme and exchanged expertise in all medical specialties.
