President receives phone calls from Somali, Djibouti counterparts




SANA'A, Feb. 05 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh received on Wednesday two
separate phone calls from Somali President Sheikh Sharif Ahmed and Djibouti
President Ismail Guelleh over situations in Somalia and efforts exerted to settle
peace, security and stability in the country as well as to reach a national
reconciliation.

The talks also focused on results of meetings of the summit of the African Union
countries, held in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa, with regards to the Somali
situation.

They expressed appreciation of the efforts of Yemen in support for Somalia and to
rebuild the state's national institutions and reconstruct the war torn properties.

Saleh and Guelleh demanded the international community to perform their tasks in
order to support efforts of settling security and stability in Somalia as well as
helping the new Somali president to translate aspirations of the Somali people in
rebuilding the country and bringing it back to the pre-war era of Somalia.
