Thai PM wishes public safe travels during Songkran

BANGKOK, April 14 (TNA) -- Thai government spokesman said that Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha has expressed his worries for the public and wished everyone a safe journey home to celebrate the Songkran Festival 2017, while reiterating to all concerned authorities to work at the best of their abilities. Governments spokesperson Lt Gen Sansern Kaewkamnerd said the premier has wished everyone, including those traveling back to their hometowns in other provinces and those traveling abroad this Songkran holidays to have a safe journey. He noted that Gen Prayut has warned all commuters to drive carefully and under traffic regulations as the number of mortorists on the roads would be more crowded than usually. He said the prime minister has further ordered all concerned authorities to work at the best of their abilities, both in providing security and safety for commuters, while also giving them moral support for sacrificing their time to take care of the people.
