Bahrain to mark GCC Food Safety Day

Manama, Apr. 14 (BNA): The Kingdom of Bahrain will join the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries in celebrating the GCC Food Safety Day, marked annually on April 15. Aiming to raise the public awareness about the importance of food safety, GCC countries designated a special day to shed light on food safety issues. This year's celebrations are themed "Food Safety Is the Responsibility of All". GCC countries have already started adopting unified laws and regulations to ensure the safety of food stuffs. The GCC Ministerial Committee for Food Safety has approved a number of recommendations aimed at achieve food safety.
