Ombudsman efforts to serve public reviewed

Manama, Apr. 17 (BNA): Ombudsman Nawaf Mohammed Al Moawdah has received the Ambassador of the United States to the Kingdom of Bahrain, William V. Roebuck. The meeting reviewed the Ombudsman Office's efforts to serve the public within its domain as part of institutional action that boosts the respecting of human rights principles. "The Ombudsman Office welcomes the visits of diplomatic delegations from sisterly and friendly countries as part of international cooperation aimed to extend bridges of cooperation in the areas of shared interest," he said, adding that "several American delegations had visited the Ombudsman Office to view its work mechanism of receiving complaints and monitoring reform and rehabilitation centres in addition to its relations with the relevant international institutions to exchange expertise and practical skills." Osama Ahmed Al Asfoor the Deputy Ombudsman and Ghada Habib the Director of International Cooperation and Development were also present during the meeting.
