President receives letter from Emir of Kuwait

SANA'A, Feb. 07 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh received on
Saturday Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed
al-Sabah who handed over a message from the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh
Sabah al-Ahmad Jabir al-Sabah over fields of the mutual cooperation
between Yemen and Kuwait and regional and international development
of common concern.

The senior Kuwaiti official is currently visiting Yemen to head the
Kuwaiti side in the first meeting for the Yemeni-Kuwaiti joint
ministerial committee that would be held in Aden.

President Saleh discussed with the Kuwaiti official the agenda of
the first meeting of the Yemeni-Kuwait committee that will be
started in Aden on Saturday evening as well as means of enhancing
Arab economic cooperation within the outcomes of the Arab Economic
Summit that was held in Kuwait city recently.

President Saleh praised level of the brotherly relations between
Yemen and Kuwait, affirming concern of Yemen to boost these
relations.

He wished success for the meeting of the joint committee to serve
interests of both peoples, asking the Kuwaiti official to convey his
regards to the Kuwaiti Amir wishing him good health and further
progress and prosperity for the Kuwaiti people.
