Premier receives Philippine envoy

Manama, May 14 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa hailed the recent successful visit of Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte to Bahrain, hailing his dedicated efforts to achieve development and maintain stability in his country. This came as he received at Gudaibiya Palace Special envoy of the Philippine President to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member countries Dr. Amable R. Aguiluz, who conveyed greetings from President Duterte. Dr. Aguiluz said the President Duterte looks forward to HRH the Premier’s acceptance of the official invitation to pay a visit to the Philippines. The Premier stressed the role of joint investments in strengthening bilateral relations in all fields, hailing steadily-growing cooperation. . He reiterated Bahrain’s keen interest in expanding aspects of cooperation with the Philippines. Building on solid relations based on understanding and mutual respects regarding regional and international issues. He underline the importance of benefiting from both countries’ potentials to build bridges of cooperation towards achieving shared economic, trade and investment interests. The Premier extended greetings to President Duterte, wishing his friendly country and people further progress and prosperity. Dr. Aguiluz thanked HRH the Premier for his efforts to strengthen bilateral relations, hailing growing ties which, he said, reflect the amity and understanding binding the leaders of the two countries.
