HM the King congratulated by HRH Princess Sabeeka

Manama, May 17 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has received a cable from Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW) on being granted the "Orphan Care Leadership Award in the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)'s Member States". HRH Princess Sabeeka extended deepest congratulations to HM King Hamad for the prestigious award conferred on him in tribute for his pioneering orphan care role at the local, Arab, Islamic and international levels, and in recognition of his venerable contributions and continuous initiatives to boost humanitarian and charitable services. The award was also granted to HM the King for his deep and noble stances and strong conviction on the need to embrace and care for orphans, based on the teachings of the Islamic Shariaa, and for the sake of establishing a social system that promotes solidarity and humanitarian cooperation among all, HRH Princess Sabeeka said. The SCW President lauded HM the King's sound directives to improve the conditions of the orphans and preserve their inherent right to family and social stability, as well as to develop programmes that prepare them to contribute effectively to the nation-building process through the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO). HRH Princess Sabeeka wished HM the King every success in assuming his humanitarian duties, and projecting to the world Bahrain's love for good and peace.
