Stay United And Make Quran As Divine Guidance For Lifetime - Malaysian King

KUALA LUMPUR, May 22 (Bernama) -- Malaysian King Sultan Muhammad V called on all Muslims to unite, adhere and make the Quran as the divine guidance for a lifetime. He said the Quran, revealed by Allah as a divine miracle to Prophet Muhammad, was a clear evidence of God’s love to all mankind. “The Quran is a blessing, as well as to serve as a revelation, companion, counselor and guidance to mankind. “The content of Quran is always relevant to mankind regardless the time and the place as it transcends any problems and situations. The purity of the Quran is always preserved by Allah for the benefit of mankind,” he said. Sultan Muhammad V was speaking at the closing and prizes presentation ceremony of the 59th International Al Quran Reciters’ Assembly, organised by the Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim), and held at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), here Saturday. Also present was Deputy Prime Minister Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi. Sultan Muhammad V also invited all Muslims to make the Quran as the ultimate guide in performing one’s role as a caliph on Earth. In the meantime, while congratulating all the participants who have shown encouraging reciting and memorising standards, His Majesty said that the results that could be seen as in favour of any country was not a major factor. He said what was important is the willingness of all participating countries to equally appreciate the content of the Quran that had been recited and memorised throughout the assembly, he said. “Let us appreciate and practice the revelations of the Quran that have been read out in the assembly, and the effect, will hopefully be enjoyed together,” he said. -- BERNAMA
