Malaysians Not Involved In Madinah-Qassim Highway Accident

KUALA LUMPUR, June 1 (Bernama) -- The Malaysia’s Foreign Ministry has confirmed there are no reports from the Saudi Arabian authorities and respective umrah agents on the involvement of Malaysians in a road accident at the Madinah-Qassim Highway last Friday. It said in a statement Wednesday, that via the Malaysian Embassy in Riyadh and the Consulate-General Office in Jeddah, the ministry would continue to monitor the development of the investigation by the Saudi Arabian authorities, particularly the involvement of Malaysians in the incident. Saudi Arabian newspaper, ‘Saudi Gazette’ reported six people were killed and 81 others injured in the road accident involving five buses. -- BERNAMA
