JC Cambodia Makes Inaugural Flight To klia2

PUTRAJAYA (Malaysia), June 13 (Bernama) -- JC International Airlines (JC Cambodia) which made its inaugural flight to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (klia2) on Tuesday, will have twice weekly flights from Phnom Penh-Kuala Lumpur. The Cambodian-registered airline was welcomed with a traditional water turret salute by the Malaysia Airports Airport Fire and Rescue Services. Senior General Manager of Malaysia Airports (Sepang) Zainol Mohd Isa said the inclusion of JC Cambodia into the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) family, specifically at klia2, would further promote the former’s status as a preferred hub in this region. "Travellers now have an option to use the klia2 via JC Cambodia as a connector from Kuala Lumpur to Phnom Penh. At the same time, it will attract more travellers from both countries to visit the respective capitals,” he added in a statement. JC Cambodia, managed by China’s Yunnan Jingcheng Group, the parent firm of China’s Ruili Airlines, will be utilising a brand new Airbus A320 aircraft, which is configured as an all-economy class with 180 seats to service the Kuala Lumpur-Phnom Penh route. klia2 has the capacity to handle a total of 45 million passengers per annum (mppa). It handled about 7.2 million passengers in the first quarter of 2017. --BERNAMA
