Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation inaugurates Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Medical Diagnostic Centre in Serbia
ABU DHABI, 14th June, 2017 (WAM) -- The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation has inaugurated the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Medical Diagnostic Centre in the Serbian city of Novi Pazar, under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. The project's progress was also monitored by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation.
The centre’s inauguration coincides with the 13th anniversary of the death of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and in line with the declaration of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for 2017 to be the #Year of Giving in the UAE.
The opening ceremony was attended by Zlatibor Loncar, Serbian Minister of Health, Rasim Ljajic, Minister of Trade, Tourism and Communications, Nihat Bisevac, Mayor of Novi Pazar, and Ibrahim Al Darmaki, Charge d'Affaires of the UAE Embassy in Belgrade.
The Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Medical Diagnostic in Novi Pazar is considered the most advanced medical centre of its kind in the Serbian city. It includes advanced medical equipment to increase the efficiency of patient treatment.
The medical centre was built on a 1,400-square metre location and is equipped with the latest and most advanced medical tools, including magnetic resonance imaging, MRI, spiral cylinders, echocardiography, digital x-rays, and mammography and biochemistry laboratories.
Zlatibor Loncar expressed his appreciation to the UAE and its generous leadership, as well as to the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for this medical support, adding that it will help to enhance the medical services provided to the people of Novi Pazar and neighbouring areas.
Rasim Ljajic said that this donation is the largest of its kind to the city’s healthcare services. He also expressed his appreciation to the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for this important humanitarian gesture, towards the healthcare sector in Serbia. http://wam.ae/en/details/1395302618839
