“The aim of the Armenian political authorities is to prevent resolution of the conflict. The latest incident following the OSCE co-chairs’ visit to the region proved it once more,” spokesperson of Azerbaijan`s Foreign Ministry Hikmat Hajiyev has told a press conference.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs instructed the country’s foreign missions to inform the international community about Azerbaijan’s concerns over the Armenian army’s killing of Azerbaijani civilians – an old woman and her 2 years old granddaughter – and the shelling of civilian facilities in Fuzuli’s Alkhanli village.”

Hikmat Hajiyev said: “This incident once again proved the importance of changing the status quo. The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister had phone conversations with the Russian and French co-chairs during which he brought up Azerbaijan`s concerns over this issue.”
